Five Months

Alex reminded me the other day I missed Jay's five month post! :) Five month stats: 27 inches long and drum roll...21 pounds! We're shopping for a big boy car seat as he's a pound away from outgrowing the car seat Kirkley stayed in for a year!! I'm nervous about the above pic. When I was taking some belly shots, there was a lot of knee scooting going on. I can wait a while longer for mobility!!!

So proud of his new trick. Don't be fooled -- only lasts a few seconds.
He is so enjoying all of his new foods! Sweet potatoes are the norm, but he's also sampled pears, peas, and squash. We're still stumped at why rice cereal hurts his tummy so badly but happy that he's liking his fruits and veggies!

I wacthed a show last night on TLC about "The World's Strongest Toddler". This little boy was crawling at 4 months, walking at 5 months, and going up and down stairs by himself at 6 months old. Could you even imagine?!?! :)

Hi,

I am not sure if you know me, but we have several mutual friends. I read your blog from time to time and think your kids are adorable. I noticed your issues with rice cereal and wanted to tell you that my little girl would not eat it either. While I realize that eating it is not Jay's problem, we tried oatmeal instead and she loved it.We buy the organic Gerber. It might be worth a try to see if it is easier on his stomach and will give him some variance from his fruits and veggies.
