Our church had their annual hanging of the greens service tonight where all of the youth and children's choirs perform while the sanctuary is decorated. This is the first year Kirkley has been old enough to be a part of the children's choir, and she's loved it! It's been another sweet way to have God's word planted in her early and to have her more connected to our church community with precious teachers and friends!

"Performance" days at used to get me totally unnerved, but now it cracks me up to see what she'll do. I wasn't so sure how this night would go. This is how round 1 of rehearsals looked -- devastated to be away from mom sitting on the stage.

She came back to sit with me and we had a discussion about how happy it is that Jesus was born! So round 2 of rehearsals improved and out came the cheesey smile!

But nothing topped the actual performance in front of all of the church when she backed up from the group and started dancing all over the stage and twirling her cape!

She took the celebration of our Savior's birth to heart!!! :)
