No Schedule Week...I Will Heart Organizing

We are sooooo enjoying a week without a schedule! At first I wondered what we were going to do -- I love to be on the go, but I've forced myself to stick around the house and get some stuff done. One of my goals for the next month or so is to get our house in order. Remember my dining room table? There is many a closet, corner, cabinet, etc. that looks just like that. I just can't post it. You'd stop reading my blog. :)

I came across I Heart Organizing, and I'm going to try to do just that. Even though looking at that blog makes me freak out a little bit that even her seeds are organized, I will try to stay focused and just get our general life organized!! I've done a few little projects, and the kids have rocked playing together for like 20-30 minutes before someone is crying -- I just work fast and furious!

Trying to keep a daily written list...I love crossing things off. Sometimes I write down things I've already done and cross them off. Still 100% gratifying! :)

So I'm kicking off 2011 with several lists inspired from here and there to try to get the household in order. I made us a weekly to do list since basically we're repeating things each week, and if isn't written down, I get totally distracted as to what day it is!? Keeping our family calendar on the fridge for sure! And I'm trying to get back to a 6:00am wake up which so helps me kick the grumps. Haven't been disciplined about it since late summer when ear infections and molars came along.

So what's your biggest housekeeping trick!?!? I am open for suggestions! Really I just want someone to nominate me for some kind of Organizing 101 show. Or What Not to Wear. My friend Heather texted me after she saw this concerned that Target jeans were on my list. I did not buy mom jeans, thank you very much, Heather! :) Gotta love old friends keeping you in line!!!

Oh heavens that organizing blog is definitely overwhelming! I love the appearance of all that organization, but did you see her cleaning checklist for daily, weekly, monthly, etc.? Maybe she hires out... I like the Holly version of her ideas!

That blog made me slightly sick to my stomach... Not EVERYTHING needs a label
