But she's persistent. Every cartoon character she sees, she wants to know if they too live in Disney World. Every day she asks if and when we're going. She's even named Mickey Mouse her future husband. She finally softened our hearts the other night when we walked and and found this...
She was packing the suitcase she'd made at VBS for Disney World. Toothbrush, hairbands, and then she was off to get board books. Hygiene and education! :)
So we're starting to plan a short family trip for the fall and eating our words that we really want to wait till elementary school. Please pass on any Disney tips and tricks!

YAY!!!!! I totally support this decision. I promise you will not be sorry!!! And fall is a great time to go!!! I will pass along my tips-while I haven't been with kids, I still think I have some Disney expertise :)
How fun Holly! We just got back with 3 under 5. We also ate our words saying that we would not go until they were older. My advice would be to only do Magic Kingdom. Right when you walk in the park there is a fast pass place on the right for visiting the princesses and Mickey and Minnie... do this! A few money savers: Take in your own snacks/lunch, buy glow sticks at the dollar store ahead of time for the light parade (surprisingly enough they all made it that late and LOVED the parade), any of the restraunts will GIVE you ice water if you ask... or you can BUY bottled water.
I know you guys will have fun! I thought about you a lot while we were there... those were some fun months we spent down there! Hope you are doing well!
We felt the same way, waiting to go to Disney, etc. But we figure we have fun wherever we go, and the memories can be for us as well! Our first trip will be April 2012. So STOKED! I'm going to snag your helpful tips! ;o)
I agree with Hollie. Part of the Disney "experience" for lack of a better word, is getting to see everything through your children's eyes. There will be things that they won't remember, but YOU will remember....things that won't be so magical to them if you wait until THEY'RE old enough to remember the trip. I have some ideas for you. Will send to your email address.
