We took a great weekend trip to see Alex's family in Texas!
I totally get travel anxiety before going anywhere, but even these 10+ hrs each way were fine!
We're always really happy to get to the state line and get out for a stretch.
We soaked up time with family we only see a few times a year!
So many fun memories made with their cousin, grandparents, great aunt & uncle, and great grandmother!

It's Emily Dykes (Goolsby now!) and I just saw your blog on Garrett Hunter's sight. We live in Houston now (my husband is a Chick-fil-A operator out here) and I saw that you visited family here. How crazy!! Were you at Memorial City Mall by chance? The ferris wheel looks familiar and that mall is about 5 minutes from our house. Whenever you make the trip again - it'd be fun to see you and Alex and the kids. We have two boys!
Hope the 3rd pregnancy is an easy one =)
