Kicking off Holy Week with some palm branches made of handprints.
K will sit and watercolor coffee filters forever. We've cut out soooo many shapes!
Love the ideas here too for preschool Easter activities -- easy ones!!
Again, K painted eggs for us.
Then the kids got to do their first egg hunt complete with cookie decorating too!
Then it was off to hunt!
"What!? Jay found the special silver egg!? I didn't? Here's how I feel about that!"
The drama continued well into the evening forcing me to refer back to Ann Voskamp's post on raising grateful children. We are now decorating our kitchen windows with the zillions of watercolored shapes she's painted as she tells us each evening five things she's grateful for!
This is sure to be a special week full of fun!
The disciples went and did as Jesus had instructed them.
They brought the donkey and the colt, placed their cloaks on them, and Jesus sat on them.
A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted,
“Hosanna to the Son of David!”
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
“Hosanna in the highest!”
Matthew 21:6-9
"From the lips of children and infants
You have ordained praise."
You have ordained praise."
Psalm 8:2
