Kirkley and I read Kisses from Katie as a read aloud the last few weeks. Her request for a way to help was to go get a child and bring her home! We steered her for now in the direction of a bake sale.
We spent a few days prepping muffins for a breakfast bake sale...
Then we set up camp at the front of the neighborhood to sell!
The Wards came to join us in selling!!
And lots of friends came by to get breakfast!
Biggest breakfast bake sale sellers: doughnuts and conecuh sausage in a blanket!
The sale raised enough money for 772 meals or 23 children's school tuitions to be paid for Amazima!!
Such a great lesson for the kids!

We took our leftovers to a neighborhood fire station and ended up getting a tour!
Which was super fun until this cutie tumbled out of the fire truck...field trip was over then!
