It took 4 weeks, but I am finally feeling back to normal! Without divulging random c-section details, basically I think I had a minor issue that caused pain lots longer than I should have normally had, but this week, I feel back to normal!!!!!!! Major hooray!
Even hit the sidewalk this morning with my boys...
I was so relieved to be able to do a 30 min stroll, visit at a friend's house, and hit the grocery store with the boys all before we picked up K from preschool! Feels like we're finding normal.
But then when we picked up Kirkley, she immediately said,
"Why is Jay in his jammies?"
I did have cowboy boots on him at least.
"Why are you wearing daddy's shirt?"
Busted wearing a sloppy 5K tee and jeans by my 4 year old!
Oh well, it still felt like a hurdle was crossed to be out and about for the morning.
So I rewarded us all with afternoon naps! All 4 -- deserves another hooray!
Sleeping has been another story.
Everyone asks how the baby sleeps...Mac is fine -- 1-2 times a night is manageable.
It's the big kids that are up 1-2 times a night then at 5 something each morning that tires us out.
We debate the concept of a family bed as this is a common scene with children sneaking in all night long...
Jay is stealth and we have no idea when he appears in our bed.
K is not far behind him claiming she's lonely in their room without him.
We think OFTEN how much more we'd sleep if we just gave in and let these little people in our bed!!! :)
Mac even sneaks a stay sometimes.
Don't worry, this was in the morning and K is pretending.
I don't really let her snuggle up to the newborn amidst pillows and blankets!
But I did pitch the idea of snuggling with Jay today so maybe they'd stay put!?
"My soul finds rest in God alone;
my salvation comes from Him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation;
He is my fortress, I will never be shaken."
my salvation comes from Him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation;
He is my fortress, I will never be shaken."
Psalm 62:1-2

Do what you need to do Mama!:) They won't stay there forever! Both of ours end up in the bed from time to time...I just thank the Lord I have them and cuddle on up! Let me know if I can give you any help when you need rest!
